When love and happiness are shared, that in itself is a wonderful gift. However, if you are considering delighting us with a present, we have some wishes that would enrich our new adventure as a married couple. Below you will find our list of gift preferences.
2010
The First Time We Saw Each Other…
…was much less romantic than one might imagine. Dario was the camp leader at a scouting camp, and Benjamin was asked by a colleague to cook there. Back then, we didn’t think much of each other; we even got on each other’s nerves.
2014
Found Again
Four years and many revelations later, we accidentally found each other again on an online dating platform. After arranging to meet at a concert where Dario was playing, it wasn’t long before we were smitten.
2014 and ongoing
Together on Holiday
We began doing everything together. Making music together, going out together, going on holidays together. This continues to this day!
2015
Our First Shared Flat
Not much later, we moved into our first shared flat. We still had a lot to learn about living together with each other and with others.
2017
Moving to the Netherlands
Eventually, we started to dream. What would it be like to move abroad together for a while? After a little more than a year of planning and saving, we took the step to the Netherlands, Dario’s homeland. Benjamin learned Dutch in just 3 months! After a year, it became a bit too cramped for us, so we moved to a slightly larger apartment not far from our first apartment in Utrecht, where we still enjoy life today.
2021
Donnie & Jodie
In 2021, Donnie and Jodie crossed our paths. The two cats quickly felt very comfortable with us, and we enjoy their presence and playtime every day.

Our “I do”
Then the time arrived! Technically, it was Dario who proposed, but we had already agreed long before that a wedding was the next logical step in our relationship. We’re very much looking forward to seeing all our close friends and relatives again!

Donate to Stichting Poezensnuitjes
Stichting Poezensnuitjes (in English: Little Cat Noses) is dedicated to helping street cats in need. Many of these cats live in difficult conditions as shelters are often overcrowded. This foundation is particularly close to our hearts, as our cats Donnie and Jodie also come from here.
In the Netherlands, there is an excess of cats because many are not neutered or spayed. This leads to further breeding, and often these cats are abandoned. Stichting Poezensnuitjes works on educating about the importance of neutering and spaying to control the cat population.
