Dear guests,

First and foremost, we want to let you know that our wedding and celebration will proceed as planned. Despite some health issues with Benjamin, he is now on the mend and everything will be fine. We are very excited to celebrate this special day with you all!

For those who may not be aware: Benjamin was admitted to the hospital in Utrecht in May and diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Initially, he received various treatments typically administered for this diagnosis, such as immunosuppressants. While it initially seemed that these treatments were effective and he was discharged, his condition worsened again in early June, necessitating a second admission. Unfortunately, this time the doctors saw no other option but to remove his entire colon. The surgery went well, but due to his weakened immune system, there were some complications that Benjamin had to endure.

On July 5th, he was discharged again and has been doing much better since then. He has started his recovery phase, which will take several months. Although he will not be fully recovered by the wedding, he will still participate. We may need to adjust the programme where necessary to ensure there are enough rest moments. Nonetheless, we are very much looking forward to celebrating this beautiful day with friends and family!
